On Saturday, March 6th, the AOH Building Corporation kicked off the 2010 St. Patrick’s season with it’s St. Patrick’s Day Kick Off party. There was wonderful food, drink and an ample supply of craic! Music was provided by Kevin Murphy and the Traditional Irish Music Session that is held at the AOH every other Friday.

Parade Day: 3/14/2010 - Join us at the AOH hall to celebrate the Detroit St. Patrick’s Day Parade. There will be a Catholic mass starting at 10 a.m. Immediately following, breakfast will be available for purchase. After the parade, there will be live Irish Entertainment, food (click for menu), drink and lots of Craic (a term for fun, entertainment, and enjoyable conversation). See our ad in the Parade Times.
St. Patrick’s Day: 3/17/2010 - Join us at the AOH hall for the “High Holy Day”. Festivities begin with Catholic Mass at 10 a.m. After Mass, there will be live entertainment, foodand drink throughout the day. Erin Go Braugh!
This Saturday, March 6th, the Hibernians will be presenting a plethora of events to kick off the St. Patrick’s Day season. The Rose Kennedy Division of the LAOH will be presenting their annual Irish Heritage Day. Activities Include: Irish Soda Bread Demonstration, Genealogy, Aran Knitting, Ceili/Step Dancers, Spinning Wheel Demonstration, Harp Demonstration, The Irish Baker(s), Irish Language Lesson, Irish Music, the Legend of Finn McCoul and Storytelling. Well wrap up the afternoon with a Catholic Mass @ 4:30 with Fr. Dan O’Sullivan.
Later in the evening, we’ll kick things up a notch with our St. Patrick’s Day Kickoff Party starting at 7p.m. A modest donation ($12 in advance, $15 at the door) gains you food, 1 hr of open bar, drink specials and music by Kevin Murphy and the AOH’s Traditional Irish Music Session.
